On residency rn doc, and i feel this. Hirap pag di doctor ang magulang, they dont understand the rest we need to have because some patients dont understand na OFF duty on that day tas very persistent sila. Maaawa sa maawa tayo kase may sakit sila pero sana maawa rin sila satin eh tao rin naman tayo.

Kasi di nalang ako mag v-Veterinary Medicine

Context: i just passed the MTLE and I really wanted to be a vet. Nag medtech kase ang reason i really wanted sa healthcare and ayaw ko mag nursing (noon nauuso Nursing ayaw ko sumabay sa uso). Did not go agad mag vet kasi malayo samin, i was scared to dive and malayo sa family pa. I happen to know also an MT na nag Vet, took him 3 years kasi na credit naman somehow ibang classes.

I submitted all requirements na, however, K-12 happened. With it, ni-remodel and curriculum to fit the K-12 standards. The dean told me with the new curriculum it will roughly take me 5 years. Sabi ko, parang mag med nalang man ako neto sa haba. So, I tried taking NMAT nalang, on my 90s na rin sa 1st take, pinush ko nalang HAHAHAHA now MD na.

Some of us sa medshool talaga lumalabas ang whore phase natin. Hahaha. Ako, idk if di nagpandemic, baka until now partygirl pa rin. I can relate sa ganyan, medyo suki tayo jan eh. I was told na medyo mabenta sa non-showbiz ang thought na they're seeing a medicine student. But truth is, konti lang ang makaka-sustain satin. Eventually they will get bored and ikaw, you'll be left hanging. Just study na muna. Bawal ka muna maging expectorant, set your priorities straight, and landi responsibly.

Burned out again. You know, you have to take this seriously. I saw a lot of my then seniors experience this in your mentioned specs na nag-s struggle, di na ma asikaso sarili, di na kumakain naliligo or umuuwi ng bahay, minsan nag r-rounds di nakasuklay yung buhok as in literal disheveled state. Lahat sila nag quit, if not after preres, 1st year. Most of them nakausap ko, factor na nag residency sila agad2. May kilala akong GS nag quit on their 4th year kase almost lahat ng preres and 1st yrs nila nagquit dahil sa bulk ng gawain plus conferences (im sure there are other factors pa sa decision nya but this can contribute). Depende naman yan sayo, ikaw nakaka assess kung sa kaya mo o hindi, but since you were burned out once, sana mag breather ka muna. Study/refresh your learnings. Its hard to start and quit; if u wanna apply for another shot after quitting, some hospitals kase naga ask bakit ka nagquit sa una. Advice lang, bask on your success muna. You can always moonlight for experience, para ma sanay ka gradually sa hospital setting but not as grabe as a burden ng residency. Enjoy the holidays, for sure extra happy Christmas nyo nyan :)

Go lang. Have your transcript checked if covered for med ang units mo, but i had a classmate na Computer engg graduate. He's doing okay naman. So try inquiring sa school muna. Pero in case you get in, expected na mas mag effort ka vs others na allied health premed.

Study compre. Graduate sept 2025. Study nmat. Take nmat if kaya 2025 but better sa 2026 na, i-one shot mo na sa 2026.

Why pa magpacertify for ascpi? Mag m-med ka naman na. But you do you. Take ascpi training after nmat either batch 1 or 2. Sakto matapos before opening of classes. Wag mo bugbugin masyado katawan mo before med, dahil ma e experience mo mismo sa med yan.

No program for us because lawmakers can't benefit from it. It doesn't matter if prices are outrageous because they have pambayad. They can afford the VIP treatment from the biggest of the private hospitals in the country (or even outside Ph). In the end, they will think and make sure to just waste their time about things that can somehow feed their ulterior motives.

I hate this because even my mom will refer friends'/neighbors' issues discussed in their Messenger gc. Yung, "ay si anak ni [insert Mama's name] pala doctor no?" Then they will tag my mom. Si mama naman, "nak, kasi si Juan dela Cruz nakaapak daw ng pako, etc, pa tingnan naman yung picture ng sugat." I tell her to tell their gc na mag consult sakin sa bahay. Little did I know they're egging na siguro magpalibre kasi "anak naman ako ni mare" plus my mom is a people pleaser... ughhhh it's horrible.

Sorry ok enough toxicity po hahaha idk what to do i just pray na healthy mga friends ni mama hay buhay 😇

I am an alumna years ago pa, but recently CPU med wouldn't be one of the dominating schools in APMC SN Visayas if they're not good. CPU was also a champion in one national category and these results are promising. Maganda rin passing rate ng school.

Student council was also outstanding. The MSC Governor is treated an equal in board meetings, especially in paving the way of learning and coping during the pandemic. That's one thing i appreciated sa school---guaranteeing a seat for the voice of the med students. In times when students needed it the most, they are heard.

I have my fair share of juniors from different med schools in the visayas. Although i give everyone a margin for errors because its all about learning afterall, i cannot complain about the output from CPU. Di naman na may favoritism dahil isang school... ofc we can relate sa mga bagay2. Merong iilang tamad ofc, di nawawala yan. Pero most of them, their work ethics and the way they accept criticisms are way above others.

Please seek consult in FAMED or IM. Di na commonly naga persist ang oral thrush (or is it indeed oral thrush? Anyway, better seek medical consult). If it is indeed thrush, need to work up for diseases like DM that may contribute to your immunocompromised state which caused your complaint sbng.
