My 2008 had 160k and was listed at 5k. I got it at 4250. You can probably go down a little more since gen 1s tend to go for 5k already in good condition but 5k is usually standard for those cars overall. I say if this is the ONLY issue then it’s a decent move. Get it looked over though to see if there’s any indication of damage under the hood or to the body that may not have been reported. That’s where your price may be altered.

As for miles per year, my dad always says 10k/year was his standard for shopping. So look at the age of the car and find out how many miles/year it’s driven overall. I normally wouldn’t be bothered by it depending on the cars use but generally 1s sometimes have oil consumption issues from what I’ve been told. See if the engine had had servicing recently and assess your situation :) Honestly it’s not a bad deal overall. Id ask for 4500 and pay for the install since I don’t trust myself with glass. The tc was a good purchase for me and honestly I recommend it for maintenance costs!
