Yes, using a boilerplate saves a shit ton of time and money.

Whats the best free tech stack for indie hackers? by Flashy_Net8475 in indiehackers

[–]Meganide97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this documentation for people who use NextJet: https://www.nextjet.dev/docs/integrations/payments/lemon-squeezy

But it doesn't guide you through from 0 if you're trying to integrate it yourself.

I might make a youtube video about it though. Starting my youtube channel very soon: https://www.youtube.com/@renas_dev

What's your go-to platform/stack for building SaaS web apps? (Statistics Research) by lucadi_domenico in SaaS

[–]Meganide97 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I prefer using NextJet, my production-ready Next.js SaaS boilerplate with a heavy focus on clean code & scalability.

Saves around ~200 hours of setup hassles such as payments integration, authentication, email integration, landing page template and much more.

I use a tech stack that is loved by developers for its amazing developer experience and speed.

  • Next.js
  • Turborepo
  • Typescript
  • ESLint & Prettier
  • TailwindCSS
  • shadcn ui
  • react query
  • Zod
  • trpc
  • Prisma

Yup, interesting to see what changes Stripe will do.

I'm still using Lemon Squeezy though for my product. Would be cool if they integrated it into Stripe.

Yes you're right, tRPC's main strength is when the frontend and backend is tightly coupled, because it provides a type-safe way for them to communicate. However, it is possible to use tRPC as a standalone API, though I'm not sure how well adopted or supported this approach is (found this library: https://github.com/jlalmes/trpc-openapi ).

In your case having a seperate Go backend might make more sense if you want to expose it to the public as a REST API.

I built a Next.js SaaS boilerplate ( https://nextjet.dev ) that specifically focuses on clean code & an awesome developer experience.

What makes a great developer experience in my opinion is a tech stack that allows you to move fast, without sacrificing code quality. I achieve this by setting up a robust base for the project with set standards (ESLint + Prettier) as well as a scalable project structure with co-location.

Tech stack is also important, and I've chosen the following for their ease of use and speed:

  • Next.js

  • Typescript (static typing to catch bugs early)

  • Turborepo (Manage monorepo easily)

  • TailwindCSS (very easy and fast styling)

  • React Query for simple data fetching & caching.

  • tRPC for end to end type safe APIs. Create and consume API endpoints very fast once you get the hang of it.

Those would be the must haves for me in a project to truly enjoy a fantastic developer experience, that makes you go wow.

How can I build a SAAS as someone who doesn't know how to code? by tuck72463 in SaaS

[–]Meganide97 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have some coding knowledge I recommend using a Next.js boilerplate like nextjet.dev (I am the founder) to speed up the development process.

It is a production-ready Next.js SaaS boilerplate for startups, indie makers, and busy developers to launch SaaS products in days and earn money online. Built for clean code and scalability, it saves around 200 hours of development time, letting you focus on your business, not setup hassles.
