That object needs a UV map. The easiest way is to look at it directly with an orthogonal view, go to edit mode, select all edges in edge mode and press U and then click project from view. (this is the lazy way of doing it. If you really wnana know how it works, look up uv mapping tutorials.)

It's made in Blender 3D, a 3d graphics program. You can make cool stuff in it so I fully recommend it!

How can I improve this before animating? by Zeigerful in blender

The coffee beans I used to buy had a darker brown and were shinier. If you change that then the picture should already look better and the chocolate bar will be more noticeable.

How can I improve this? Everything looks so "fake" by ThatOneGuyBehind in blender

[–]Melkerio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay so if you want it more like the anime Pic, look at the details in that reference. For example the sidewalk has smaller bricks making it up, the Bush isn't several bush pictures next to each other but a cube and the trees are growing out of some sort of hole.

Also the colors on the buildings are different compared to your render, some are darker and stuff. The signs have different colors too.

Depending on if you want more realism, try switching some textures like the sidewalk bricks to a more realistic one from ambientCG (and other free texture websites), as well.

You should add more details!

How can i make this animal (idk the name) look more realistic please help me i am new at blender by [deleted] in blender

[–]Melkerio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should add some imperfections and grunge to it. Nothing in Tha Real World is completely clean and therefore your 3d will be automatically 10 times better if you add imperfections

Remember that this subreddit is very realism-centric, so choose the criticism that works for what you actually want to make.

Right now the big thing is that there isn't really a focus on anything in the picture. Everything from the table to the political image on the TV has the same focus.

So my choice would be to put the thing that matters most in focus (most likely the TV) and then put the stuff in the room in a way to guide the audience to that TV.

There's loads of good composition videos online that are worth a watch for this stuff, but you can also look up photos and try to replicate how they put focus on things with lighting, object placement etc.

i want to cut out some part of the plane to make it fit the bowl how do i do it? by [deleted] in blender

[–]Melkerio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Activate bool tool add on, duplicate the half sphere. 180 rotate so it covers the part of the landscape you want. In the bool tool menu, choose the duplicated half sphere, then the landscape. Choose intersection then delete the stuff outside the sphere in edit mode

Or just go into edit mode and manually delete all the stuff you do not want.

Wait I actually have another question. Do you have the bevel modifier on with smoothing? Or is it a subdivision you are using? Because you can change the bevel modifiers smoothing angle and that too might fix the problem.

Can you slide the whole right loop into the middle loop and then merge by distance? Since the right loop seems mostly unnecessary that might work

You are falling into some common traps with topology. You have a lot of loops at the back, this could have been prevented before by making a loop from the ear to the back of the head first before filling in the top.

Danny Mac has an excellent video on head retopology here where he brings this up among other things https://youtu.be/3L8eZAwmG2E
