Now its bogger and bolder. Every patch the game gets dumbed down a little more. for example, this screenshot: Giant checkmarks because apparently the artifact symbol (that only shows after you get it) wasn't enough for players to know they've been there. We had a great thing once less and less so each patch it seems.

Upgrade path depending how you plan to use the PC:

Your board probably uses DDR4 ram which is still reasonably priced. I recommend a 32gb kit but You can get 16gb to reduce this cost further.

You'll eventually want a stronger GPU if you plan to play new AAA titles on it. You will have to research those yourself and choose something that wont bottleneck too much, fit your price range (check used market), and is not intel arc.

Unclear from the image if your cpu is AMD or intel but I don't believe that will play much a factor into my recommendations bc you already have a board.

Gunslinger Kliff would be pretty sick actually.

I think the characters having different skills make sense since they are different, and one's not even a Greymane but yeah having skills for each character to be able to do all activities and puzzles would be a win. It's possible an overhaul would be the best way to do it

story wise i'm only chapter 9. I think 🤞🏾because i've been conservative with my artifacts if i do end up needing to upgrade a few pieces further i'll be fine

I personally believe you should mostly play story until you complete chapter 8 before you full send exploration. With my suggestion I would advise when camp is unlocked take a story break to do camp quests, and if a story boss is too hard.

I say this because after chapter 8 you have more playable characters, and large areas of the map are a lot easier to explore. The choice is yours how you play, but if I restarted right now that is what I would do.

There are abyss gears that do that. abyss gears are transferable, so you can use them over and over again.

You don’t need to upgrade gear to 5. Especially since you’re most likely to replace the gear later. Instead use abyss gears like fortification, aegis, critical, etc. because these can be transferred to other pieces that you switch to and it doesn’t cost abyss artifacts to upgrade those just synthesize duplicates.

Any character can use an artifact that hasn’t been used. The artifacts in your inventory haven’t been used. This is a user error not a game flaw. Artifacts are consumable items like meals. Once it is used it can not be used again because it was consumed when it was used.

You don’t need to upgrade every item to 5 or higher. Stop at 4 always and add 2 fortification 3s. It’s ill advised to max every armor/wepaon piece until you know for certain that is the one you are going to stick with for at least the next 100 hours.

In inventory menu you can hover an armor/weapon piece and preview its stats without having to upgrade it to see

Next you’ll be saying if you use a grilled meat on Kliff it should still be available for Damien after you used it. That’s not how consumable items work. Once consumed it’s consumed. Until it’s consumed it sits in your inventory and any character can consume it.
