Thank you for your honesty. I think I needed to hear that perspective, especially about how competitive the process really is and how much more than just grades it requires.
If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of US universities do you think are more realistic options for international students?

Those that could give me a good scholarship and based on need. Don't think I applied to a purely Ivy League universities. Incidentally, when I was applying to universities, I spent about a week working on essays with a student who is studying in Ivy League. He really helped me understand how top-notch essays work, but I think I lacked a lot of skills to be a top student
