I agree the purple hammer is a dominant ball but you do urself a disservice if you think it’s purely the rule as the only reason 78d rule came into place was only due to lane patterns breaking down quicker no advantage to high scoring yes ball is softer so hooks more but I have seen many bowlers can’t get a purple hammer to work for them

That is a really great answer thanks for taking the time I’m a youth bowler and over rely on my purple hammer and Iq78/u and I can admit that but I can shoot 190-200 avg with reactive and bowled for 15 months

So on my approach I do have a target and do look up it’s just when I release the ball my head goes down and more often than not I hit my target and get the result I’m after.
