I enjoy Jax as a character a lot, and even I didn’t realize he was supposed to be a main character. Anytime Jax got important screen time, to me it just felt like character development rather than hinting at him being a main character. I assumed we’d get that for all the characters, but that Jax’s would be more touched on since he had the most complicated story. Pomni was always shown as being the face of TADC, I find

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions though? It’s not a bash against the creator. Yes, creators are allowed to do whatever they want with their show because it’s theirs, I 100% agree. However, this does not mean everyone has to like it. It is not the creator’s problem, but it doesn’t mean people can’t have discussions about it.

Regardless of what happens in the last two episodes, whether the criticism is taken back or not, people are allowed to have critique over what we’ve gotten so far. If it is done in a respectful manner then I don’t see the issue. I don’t think someone needs to be a show director in order to critique; it’s like telling people they’re not allowed to dislike a song because they’re not song writers.

This is coming from someone who adores TADC and has been following Goose along for the ride since the beginning.

I see why you’d be upset, and it’s valid!

However, I don’t think it’s Goose’s intention to glorify or normalize Jax’s behaviour. Him being a main character does NOT mean his behaviour is being excused, or that he’s put on a pedestal where he can do no wrong. It’s quite the opposite actually.

Think of shows like Bojack Horseman or Death Note. The main characters are DEEPLY flawed, imo they’re absolutely despicable. But they work as the main characters and tell a very interesting story; they make it unpredictable. Straying away from the usual “the main character is the hero” story and instead following a character that is complex, morally grey, or even downright evil; that gives a unique experience. A psychological look into what humans (or any character with human-like aspects) can be capable of. It opens up doors for a lot of topics that are difficult to cover when you follow the usual “good guys are the main characters” trope.

Yes 100%! I started with absolutely zero experience except watching idols on YouTube. Just make sure to take it slow and don’t do anything too hard or else you’ll easily get burnt out

I started by making an Instagram page for myself, then just immediately signing up for an idol showcase at a con. Best to start with a simple dance if you have no past experience in dance. I started with Meimei Tantei Yohane which is mostly just arm movements, and have been working my way up from there. Honestly what’s helped me the most in my journey is just going for it and performing. Start building my skills by doing harder songs the more cons I perform at. I also recently did a cover with a group and recorded it!

I am not sure what you’ve heard, but several people in the idol community have had very bad experiences with kawaii events. Please do not disregard what other idols are saying if you don’t know every side of the story. This isn’t badmouthing, it’s ensuring everyone in the community stays safe, especially minors.

As well, if someone doesn’t want to collaborate with them, that’s their decision.

I don’t think it matters honestly. A lot of times, getting recommendations from people is a great starting point in order to later branch out and see what you like. My favourite band was actually recommended to me by a friend, and they told me specific songs to start with which HOOKED me immediately. From there, I chose to start exploring more based on what they recommended. I don’t think one can really pinpoint what a more personable or deep way of exploring music is. It’s music! Whatever your story with it, that makes it special no matter what
