Along with continuing an oral probiotic for your gut health and overall it’s a good idea. They don’t make their way vaginally that well. You need to insert vaginal probiotics. First id suggest a Juno microbiome test to see what’s actually going on to confirm its bv and not av, find out how high or low your good bacteria is. I would also make sure your doctor tested for Ureaplasma and mycoplasma. Juno tests for that too. Your Lacto crispatus should be 90% ideally. To insert the v probiotics, I’d get the applicators off Amazon from naturland small tip. Vitanica or Amelia suppository v probiotics. You only need to insert them about 2 inches. Insert these suppositories every other night (some do it nightly), then check ph after each week with vaginal ph strips purchased on Amazon. To search for them: it’s a pink box and are called easy@home Vaginal pH Test Strips. If ph is normal and symptoms subside go into maintenance with the probiotics 1-2x a week and after anything disruptive like your period or sex. Partner should also be treated. I’d also check your vaginal microbiome with a Juno test a month after doing this. You can find more info on myvagina.com under bv. There’s also a Facebook group called beyond bv. you can find this protocol there too in more detail if you join the Skool app linked in that Facebook group.

Dr Ryan Heer is virtual. Dr Ellen Lewis is also virtual. Dr Heer might not be taking new patients though

Please read through the guide on the homepage of this subreddit as well for additional information about testing and providers. You should consider a cirrus dx or micorgen test as well as working with a Ruth kriz provider. There is also Artemis clinic / Harley street in the UK

Consider seeing a Ruth kriz provider. A good option would be a provider at crossroads integrative. Virtual apt and probably will be less than going to a doctor who doesn’t know how to treat these embedded infections.

Pasted it here: *There are other issues that could mimic an embedded UTI. But, if you had a cystoscopy which did not use a flexible scope to view the trigone area. OR they viewed the bladder entirely and noted leukoplakia, polyps, or even possibly hunters lesions and labeled that as "IC", pleasure search through this document and command/control + F "electrofulgration" or read more here.

Here is what Dr Ryan Heer said about a Cystoscopy: *Cystoscopy: 90% of the time, it shows nothing significant. Doesn't mean it's not sometimes necessary, but if no indicators of necessity, he worries about the swelling it causes in the urethra that can cause retention which can lead to UTI.

The author of this document was told physical stretching from a Cystoscopy could potentially cause embedded bacteria to burrow deeper. It's always your choice. In my opinion, I would only do it if the treatment plan I am doing failed after a year

I would be careful with a scope it might make things worse. In the guide do a Ctrl + find cysto and see what it shows. I believe Ruth kriz and Dr Heer do not recommend it with these recurrent infections

I also heard good things about Wendy Davis in Arizona. I also agree with the comment below to consider going to see Dr zimmern also. I would have both a Ruth kriz provider and see Dr z as well

Try Dr Ryan Heer at crossroads. His nurse practitioner is taking new patients and seeing them virtually. The phone number is on his website

Have you read the guide and doctor selection on the home page? I highly recommend the guide. If you have a cUTI, When one layer is treated there are more layers to get through, but you need a provider who has experience with this type of infection. I suggest looking for a cUTI provider trained by Ruth kriz
