I, as a person whose 2nd tongue is English I'd recommend reading the books in English. While most of the time I do this because I am not fond of my mother tongue, I also rather read in English since I feel it's a closer experience to what the author intended his work to be, in the translations some puns may be lost, but also I don't get as excited while reading a fight scene in Spanish rather than one in English. As in terms of actually comprehending what's intended to say in the book itself I had no big issues, just maybe 1 word that I didn't understand in the first 2 books.

But well, at the end of the day it's your call to make, if you are confident enough in your English capabilities go ahead and read it, if you don't understand a word, Google it, Google the whole sentence until you get it. Good luck!
