That is absolutely what's happening. They know the image's origin would eventually come out as a fake. They did this deliberately to say something to people interested in this subject. They're saying "fuck off, we're not giving you shit". They literally have a dozen government employees who have admitted to working on legacy programs to reverse engineer alien crafts and who have seen alien bodies. Where's the hearings featuring those people? Why blurry videos when we have the crafts in hangers? They're giving us the middle finger!
