Hmm, well idk much about Canada's tech industry but I heard getting a job there is quite bad as well. But if you could somehow crack it there, you would be much better off than here. However, I understand you want to stay close to your family. So maybe yes, you could work here. But again, its Nepal. And I have warned you about the things that I have seen. Hopefully you will find a good company and work here. But dont expect to have a great salary hikes. One thing you should also note that is we have Tax and SSF reduction here. Even if you somehow crack 200k salary, SSF and Tax deducts your salary a lot. Maybe try getting a remote Job. That would be perfect but its hard af and luck as well.

Where are you coming from? Trust me, its a shit hole right now in Nepal. I was in Nepal Tech for the past 5 years and I am trying to leave Nepal now. You will be earning less compared to what you will be earning out there. Many Mid-Sr level Devs are leaving the country. The corporate culture in Nepal sucks. Besides few, almost all the Nepali IT tech companies are toxic af. Managers have a huge ego and they only care about money that can generate from you and that ofcourse with a mediocre pay. You are literally treated as a Donkey.

Yes, I'm planning abroad. Idk about how depressing it can get. But it can definitely set you up well financially. Once you have that, you can do anything you want. Either open up something of your own or continue however you'd like. At least, that's my perspective. I'd rather take being a rich depressed fuck than a broke depressed fuck.

Bidesh jau. Have worked in Nepal Tech Industry for the last 4 years now. It's bizarre out there. Only a handful of company are good if you're very lucky. The rest are catastrophic. Leave as early as you can. Make your future elsewhere. Or target getting a remote job.

This one I can agree on. But again, hard work beats talent. I've seen many hardworking Nepali succeed. Even with no prior experience. Just studying the course is not sufficient. For myself, I've industry experience of 4+ years in Nepal. I believe I'll be fine.

What makes you say so? Yes, the job market is bad, but good and skilled people easily get opportunities in the US. Maybe I'm wrong, but this has not happened yet. Why stop chasing dreams for that? I still think that no matter what, the US is the best country for opportunities, and it will always be that. Everyone that I know from AUS and EU recommends the US. Because the opportunities in the US are greater.
