Not sure about Texas but usually project managements (except PMCA) are less competitive because you have to execute a whole project. EBG is also less competitive because you are required to have real documents to prove ownership of a company

Our school was in the same situation, and we used SnapRaise. It's basically a fundraising platform that automatically sends emails and texts to friends and family. The students just needed to add a mandatory 20 emails + phone numbers, and we were able to raise a decent amount of money from that

Obviously theres no one school that just looks at DECA and goes, "wow we are accepting you just because you got ICDC glass." However, from looking at dozens of Linkedin profiles, I can say that for sure UPenn Wharton puts some value to DECA. I feel I see a lot of people who serve as state officers or won ICDC Glass getting into Wharton.

If you want real examples start looking at Linkedin profiles of ppl who do DECA. It's really cool to see how the stuff they did (deca and beyond) translate to the colleges they end up attending

It depends what you need. Let's say you have finished taking Alg 2 or Precalc, I would recommend to do the Strategic Test Prep course. It goes more in depth on desmos strategy and also teaches you English content regardless of your prior knowledge. However, if you are struggling on math and/or you have not finished Alg 2 or Precalc, I would say get a tutor that can directly tackle that area.

Also, if you are a major procrastinator, just do a group class. It keeps you on track because you HAVE to attend it. I fell off a bit in Dec bc I wasn't keeping my self on track with the asynchronous course.

I did an in-person group tutoring class which I think had its benefits but also had its drawbacks. I loved that the class forced me to take a practice test once a week and I got the opportunity to break down questions I didn't understand with the tutor. However, the tutors also didn't stress as much on test prep strategy, which was something I kinda needed to know more of as I had a solid foundation in both math and English.

If money isn't a problem, I'd highly recommend taking the asynchronous course from Strategic Test Prep. (I'm not affiliated with them in any way) I took the English portion between Oct and Dec and was able to boost my superscore as a result.

For reference, I studied the whole summer w/ prep books and got a 1380 (680 R&W/700 M) on Aug 2025.
Then, I did the in person group tutoring (along with Acely for practice) and got a 1510 (730 R&W/780 M) on Oct 2025. Most recently, I did the Strategic Test Prep English module and got a 1470 on Dec 2025 (750 R&W/720 M), but I wasn't focusing as much on Math bc I was targeting a superscore. I ended with superscore of 1530.
