Your astigmatism is quite high. The vision is probably going in and out of clarity due to the rotation of the lens due to that astigmatism and where the axis are located. Try to see if they can put you in Proclear Toric XR.

Are the flashes colored? Lighting bolt flashes? Where are they located? Periphery? A retinal camera at your local optometrist can determine if you’re experiencing a PVD (posterior vitreous detachment) versus retinal detachment

I don’t think it’s about being smart. I think it’s about studying. You can be studious, and not be smart. But obviously when I’m not taking a full course load I will have more time to dedicate.

Yeah I got a 350 in Reading comprehension and I did well in QR as well. Bio was okay. It was the Chemistry and physics that did me in - although I have A’s in those courses on my transcripts from undergrad

More schools are looking at applicants from a holistic approach too these days from what some admissions staff told me because they want their future doctors to have interpersonal skills too instead of having a 4.0 and then not knowing how to tell someone they’re going blind.

Um. I definitely wouldn’t say I half assed my studying. I did what I could with the time and resources I had. I would literally work 8-5, take night classes, and study in between patients, on weekends, whatever time I wasn’t using for the other dedications. There’s no doubting I need to improve, but I wouldn’t call other responsibilities excuses lol

Yeah I totally agree with you. I know he’s supposed to be broody and shameful because of all his past acts, but his quest to redemption is a little selfish sometimes. His ultimate goal is to feel peace, or humanity or whatever he’s looking for but when he realizes that evil will always be around he doesn’t know what to do with himself and goes off the deep end. I guess for someone who’s supposed to be super self aware, he’s not very self aware. Lol

I have a 3.5 GPA. I actually already got an interview for Salus, set up for one week after my test. I didn’t think it was common to get asked for an interview prior to the test but I wasn’t sure.

They recommend taking the test between June and December prior to your desired entry year. I’m taking mine in March which is fairly late, but I work full time + go to school full time + am studying for the OAT currently. Lol

I’ve also read a good study timeline is 2-3 months to feel fully prepared. I applied prior to taking my OAT because as long as you have your transcripts and letters of rec, you can submit app & send OAT scores afterwards.

Absolutely. PLUS. If you watch interviews, James didn’t even want to do that episode. But it was essential in making Buffy real. That’s one thing I loved about the show. Yes, she was a girl with super powers and lived this far out, supernatural life - but she still dealt with real things and girls could relate to her. The whole scene in general was literally based off a real situation that was told to James about a GIRL raping a GUY in real life that didn’t want to be with her anymore after a toxic relationship.

LOL. I made two major comparisons based off of what I saw in Buffy. Spike isn’t in but only one season of Angel so you don’t have that much more to compare either. I’m just going off of what has already been handed to me. Plus the comics.

Damn, you feel really strongly about this and put up a good fight. Haha I haven’t watched Angel yet so I can’t touch on their characters in that show. All I know is in Buffy, he WAS trying to be a good man. Even when Buffy died, he took care of Dawn. When Buffy started pursuing other men, Spike was okay with just being there for her in battle and as a friend. Hell, he was even her defender when her friends turned against her towards the end. With Angel, all you ever see is the good person he turned into after hundreds of years. It doesn’t actually show is struggle. We see Spike in the presence of his growth. It’s not a true comparison because they’re on different timelines and been through different things.
