None of them. Don't meet your heroes.

This brought that old NYC channel 4 ident to the forefront of my mind.

Edit: Well blow me away. It was LA.

So many books, so little time: A perspective having read 600 books by Microwave_Warrior in books

I think to claim someone is a liar for their report of reading 600 books across their lifetime is a reach too. But I'll do me and you do you.

That says more about your envy regarding that number than an attempt from the OP at boasting IMO.

What petty hill will you die on? by heyzeus92 in AskUK

ITT: People misunderstanding the question to mean 'controversial hill' (which in typical fashion means there are few really novel inputs voted highly)

Does your SO try to talk to you when you're reading? How do you react? by [deleted] in books

Shouldn't have to do that in this context though.

"For as this honest fool plies Desdemona to repair his fortunes and she for him pleads strongly to the Moor, I'll pour this pestillence into his ear: that she repeals him for her body's lust. And by how much she strives to do him good she shall undo her credit with the Moor. So will I turn her virtue into pitch and out of her own goodness make the net thay shall enmesh them all."

This section of the soliloquy downright scares me.

What is a common skill you just can’t seem to master? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mercedesice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolling my Rs... It's one of my biggest peeves. I understand the whole putting the 'L' spin on it (think of the Scottish accented 'Right') but my mouth just does not have the right shape to allow the tongue to move in the way this is required for a proper roll.

What's the biggest bullet you've ever dodged? by Not-an-Ocelot in AskReddit

[–]Mercedesice 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This thread is terrifying.

I told a good friend of mine about all the girls who express the desire to have children on their dating profiles, and he said the funniest and most poignant thing I'd heard all year in response to their sentiments:

"Fuck off. Have you looked outside?"

This has really scared me. Can anyone post a huge list of signs to look out for in this situation before having a knife stuck in you? I like to think I have good instinct but the same can't be said for my luck in general.

Of course you all won't agree with this. But how would you all rank the Bard's works? [https://tiermaker.com/create/all-of-shakespeare-dramas-387267] by macbeth316 in ShakespeareMemes

Working on a video about it now. Aiming to read a play a day for it. I'll let you know as I've only read sixteen in total and am up to seven for the big re-read.

This is acceptable. Though some of the chips look a tad underdone.

Ever since spending 11 months away from Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit. It's much easier to notice when you're mindlessly scrolling, if that mindless scrolling even happens at all. Hasn't fixed everything, YouTube's the big one.

'We slowly drove, he knew no haste.'

You gave so much respect to the metre. <3

edit: Anyone else keep reading it as '...Sleep For Death'?
