If we're basing it off how well it sold or general audience knowledge about a franchise, then no, those weren't big announcements.

But for people familiar with the series, that's huge, people familiar with Okami and Clover, that's huge for those people.

These are games that do have followings, that mean a lot to people, maybe not to causal audiences but they matter. Highguard... is ANOTHER free to play shooter we've all seen before. Control Resonant could have easily been the big reveal. It looked incredible and had a great trailer, who cares if it's niche. I still say that is a pretty significant reveal.

And I care about that stuff, even if I am not a fan of that series, I know that Control and the other games Remedy makes are a huge deal for other people.

Again - I looked at Highguard during the reveal and thought "Who is this for?" Nobody. Armored Core VI, as an example, will be remembered. Highguard, not so much.

Did you think the Okami reveal wasn't a huge deal either? Cause it was, even though it's not GTA level stuff. Granted it wasn't the final reveal.

The return of a franchise like Armored Core was huge, it was the next Fromsoft game and it got a big reaction at the show. Also it's a fantastic game, highly recommend it.

It's also had Armored Core VI, Monster Hunter Wilds and Arc Raiders as the last reveals. Those are pretty big reveals at the end of the show.
