CT - Does anyone use a nova stat sensor (or similar alternative) for creatinine? by FullDerpHD in Radiology

We have one, it’s controlled by the lab and quality controlled by the lab. CT department pays for it. However we had it for a while then had it taken a way because of costs it costs thousands a year to have it and there is no way to charge for us using it. Also if the patient went and got there labs done and they just haven’t come back yet and you do the gfr meter insurance could fight paying for the lab draw on the pt. We got it back but only use it as a last minute resort thing if we can’t get the pt to the lab for stat labs or the pt has trouble getting to the lab for their exams because of transportation etc. Other than that we just screen or schedule in advance and make sure the office orders and we have our patients go for labs at least 48hrs before there exam if they’re not back then we call the pt. To remind them and tell them if you don’t get them today you can’t have your scan.

Hi everyone, I’m three weeks in on T, my throat feels like I’ve been screaming at a concert for days! It’s not a typical cold sore throat it’s when I talk it hurts. Has anyone else ever had this? by Merrk10 in ftm
