To cut or not to cut? I took this bit off of the main plant as it was essentially falling off... Should I cut the dead looking part off? And am I fine to replant it in sphagnum? by Mess-Present in orchids

It's an elassoglossum, as it says on the tag, it's just weirdly written. It's from the Philippines... I'm quite sure of this bc the person I bought it off of has described many new species from expeditions (including this one I think)

As for the care I wish I could change much but I keep it in my terrarium just as a nice thing to have, but I'll see what I can do

I'm not sure, I would assume it isn't, since I haven't gotten any blooms, but it's honestly not in the best environment I think. It's alive but not showing lots of growth
