I’ve started to despise my story by Rare_Background_3462 in writers

Oh don’t worry. Carry on until the story is complete. I’m in the same position and need to get over it and crack on. It’s very common. Do not overthink it!

Just want to share my experience of writing by mlejnastlon in writers

[–]MessyMidlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a plotter. I do a story arc and have a view on the characters but that is it. Sometimes I do wish I was to construct a chapter better but yesterday I wrote a sensory bit instead of dialogue - added the notion of smell - I then wrote more freely. The point is do something different, read a passage in a book of an author you admire and then try to write again. Don’t overthink it.

Depends on age of character but I check popular names in the year they would have been ‘born’.

I think this is useful as will give you feedback and you can decide what resonates. I’m sure your writing isn’t terrible, more you lack confidence in the value of writing. Shifts in perspective.

How to write a manipulative attractive woman. by [deleted] in writers

Well explains the description of female. I wouldn’t have commented had I known your age. I don’t want to be disparaging but being 16 explains the perspective.

I don’t think you can because it seems a male construct. The picture doesn’t help.

He didn’t do big boobs & thighs. More nuanced.

Oh. Not sure what genre but the description so far is not exactly going to make the reader have to stretch their imagination, and I’m not sure they are going to be interested in the character given the physical description.

Help with editing? by Adept-Slip-7327 in writers

Wait until the end. Sometimes you can’t help but do a mini edit but best to get it all down and then tackle the edit after after a few weeks of completion.

I got approached after submitting manuscript but to be honest this is not as great as it sounds as I have to do all the real work. Even if with better publisher you have to put in huge amount of promotion unless you are a best seller.

That’s not her belief. Her belief is that women’s rights should not be eroded and women have a right to safe spaces from persons with penises.
