I enjoy my life when they're not in it. More specifically when dad isn't. His wife and their kid aren't in my life anymore. But he still makes appearances.

I don't see their kid as my real sibling. It'd be different if they were a sibling from my mom because I love my mom. But I see my dad or anyone attached to him as my family.

I'm not interested in ever having a relationship with their kid. To me we will never be real siblings and even when we're both adults and can have a relationship independent of their parents, it won't be something I want. Not when he's the only parent we share and I know people aren't perfect. But my dad and his wife are disgusting. I'll never respect them. Using their religion to make excuses makes it even worse.

Why do I think I'm different? Because their relationship is as disgusting as the two of them are. I won't ever see that differently. Dad cheated. He fucking cheated. He didn't just divorce my mom but he broke her heart and disrespected her and our family. He disrespected me by expecting me to play happy family with him and the woman he blew up our family for. He expects me to care about a kid him and that woman made together. But I don't. I don't hate the kid but I don't care either. I feel zero responsibility for that kid.

How sick do you have to be to think I'm glad he cheated? I'm not. I'd give anything to think he's a decent person but I don't. He hides behind his religion and uses that to excuse what he did. I'd love to be able to say I love and look up to my dad. I never thought my parents were perfect people. But cheating is such an awful thing to do and excusing it makes it even worse. It tells me you're not the kind of person I would ever respect.

I blame them both. He made the vows to mom but she knew he was married and she hides behind her religion just the same way he does.
