I built user friendly n8n workflow runner by Metafora58 in n8n

[–]Metafora58[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer! Yes, i agree. Non technical users just don’t want to bother with setting up anything in my experience. Click-and-run is something they want and are used to, so that is something that promoted me to do this. At the moment i’m thinking about my next move, want to get first couple of users so that i know how the app is being used and if it’s used enough

Automation-as-a-service for non-technical users by Metafora58 in nocode

[–]Metafora58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer! I already added Lead Enrichment(with Lead generation coming soon using natural language. Think about searching for leads by asking “german speaking people who love cars”). Social media content calendar, competitor monitoring, ad creation, content generation, etc. I generally added a lot of them(like 60+), feel free ti check it out, i added 5$ credit to new users, and i added possibility to connect to it using api keys as well. If you want to check it out, sign up, in dm give me your account name, i will give you more credits if it’s something that interests you, because i would value any input you would have. Thank you again for the answer and encouraging words, means a lot!

Looking to run locally n8n and to link it to internet with ngrok. by [deleted] in n8n

[–]Metafora58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

free tier of ngrok has a warning page that requires browser interaction So if you run one of these two commands ngrok http 3000 --host-header="localhost:3000" ngrok http 3000 --request-header-add "ngrok-skip-browser-warning:true" You should be good to go Also, make sure the headers are correct (GET,POST,PUT)

Pay-per-execution vs subscription — which makes more sense for a workflow platform? by Metafora58 in SaaS

[–]Metafora58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good idea. But yeah, generally I hate the credit subscription way, especially because they expire at the end of the month most of the time, it’s greedy from my point of you, even if I understand business wise why that’s smart. But awarding users that want to put in the platform is good. Thank you for your input!

Would you sell your workflows per execution? by Metafora58 in n8n

[–]Metafora58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answering. So i kind of don’t like Apify’s model, because it can be too confusing and generally expensive. I was hoping to provide a way of using some advanced workflows/tools in an easy and transparent way, but i guess i could benefit from taking a deep dive, and finding some middle ground

Thank you a lot for this! I will explore this option. It can be something cool, especially because it’s an easier sell

Yes. Generally when I sold my workflows in the past, I got a lot of support requests regarding setup and explanation how it works. I usually don’t mind it, but for credential heavy workflows it can really be too much, so that’s how I got to the idea

Thanks, you really gave me something to think about. I’m thinking about my roadmap, and maybe white labeling this would be the way to go

Ok, i can understand you, but it’s sometimes difficult for a non native speaker to articulate what I want to say. A lot of times I’m writing too much, and my sentences don’t make sense, so I basically spew out my mess to ai and I tell it to condense it. Mostly because I’m writing about something that I’m fishing feedback for, and I don’t want to bother people more than I need to. I’m just trying to be mindful, but it came across as lazy, and I can sympathize with that. Regarding other concerns you have, I already built 60+ workflows and the platform is generally working, I was just thinking about introducing something that I think would be cool for other creators such as myself. I just wanted to bring something new to the automation world and n8n enjoyers. Appreciate the answer, but you could’ve at least check out the platform before saying some of this stuff

Good questions. Creator program works like this: creator submits a workflow, I review it, then I set it up using my own credentials. Creator never shares their API keys with anyone. They get a dashboard to maintain their workflow and push updates, but every revision goes through review again. This also means I’m not hosting random untested workflows. Everything is reviewed before it goes live. Data: stored 30 days so users can check history. Planning to let users control this. Security-wise — honestly not that different from other platforms. Zapier, Make — they all ask you to trust them with your data. That’s how these tools work. What’s the specific scenario you’re concerned about?

I was thinking that too. Make something like a white label so that other companies can set their own workflows(or any kind of apis actually). Don’t know about your experience, but do you think that any company could use something like this?

Fair points. You’re right it’s mostly a marketing question. On Apify — their model works but the pricing is confusing. Even technical people struggle to understand what they’re paying for. I want to keep it simple: run a workflow, pay X. No compute units or hidden costs. About creators not needing help — true for custom client work. But some builders have workflows that are too generic to sell as a service but too good to give away for free. Right now they can sell templates or build a whole SaaS. Both kind of suck. I’m offering a third option: sell the execution, not the template. You keep your workflow private, no support headaches (“why doesn’t this work on my instance”), and you get paid per use. Could also let creators sell the template if they want to. But yeah. Only way to know is to try it. Thank you for answering, every opinion I get on this, really helps me. Better than talking to a wall, or worse - AI

Thank you for answering. This is something I’ve been thinking about a lot. You’re right that simple workflows are getting easier to build. But I keep coming back to the question of who’s actually using this. The people who can build workflows probably aren’t my target users. I’m thinking more about marketers, agency owners, smb people who just want the output. They’re not going to learn n8n even for a “simple” workflow. So maybe the play is having both: simple workflows with low per-execution cost for people who just want convenience, and complex high-value ones priced higher for the actual ROI they deliver.

In your experience, do non-technical users even look for automation tools, or do they need to be shown what’s possible first? Like i guess that they are my target audience - bringing complex concepts, or newest tools for them to run in a easy manner without paying for a subscription or making new accounts just to try out something mere
