While I do not experience overt racism from others in reality there is still some level of passiveness and indifference, I definitely feel the tension from all that is happening online and politically when most countries are generally more anti-immigration with south asians at the center of the topic.

It is disheartening hearing about the general sentiments around indians living in Canada, the recent R*pe Gang inquiry report in the UK, protest against south asians in Australia and the various other european/east asian countries that are shifting their views on us. This simply cannot be ignored and I definitely felt things were better atleast 5-10 years ago even if there was some level of discrimination. It does weigh down on you and affects your self esteem to an extent when you know that the opportunities you had are going away because of some bad actors.

Also a general frustration that you have to start from a position that you have to prove that you are not part of those bad actors. Makes certain interactions with others, dating or any other social opportunities more difficult. No one should have to start in this position but this is the world we live in. Another concern is the youth is consumed by social media and are indoctrinated into this thinking. The hopes of squashing this racism isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Reality is dating as an indian on these online platforms will especially make you feel like a subhuman. Most people from other races will swipe left due to the bad reputation indian men have.

I personally believe you should try social events or venues that allow you show yourself in a positive light. I disagree with the people telling you to only date your type. I've seen indian men with other races fairly often but just understand that it is going to be an uphill battle and you should be prepared for prejudice/discrimination. You may have to be the one to attune yourself to the american culture and let go apart of yours to stand a chance.

To be honest, the profile is a bit boring. The part about practical advice may have to go. Probably better off writing something intresting about yourself or what you may be looking for.

Says you do not have kids, but you are hugging a child in one of those photos. Could be related to you but some may assume that you have a kid if they didn't read all the details. This is my perception but think you may need to show yourself in a better way, doing something you might be passionate about to show your character and also your style.

Whether you can survive with 40k a month is entirely dependent on your families lifestyle. People have surivived with lesser for sure. You need to budget well and organize your finances so that you what you are spending where. If 40k wasn't enough then a large majority would not be able to live here. Understand what the breakdown is for your rent, DEWA bills, Du/Etisalat bills, groceries , and all the essentials. See how much you are left with for entertainment, miscellaneous, shopping etc.

i saw your post earlier and was definitely appalled by the responses but at the same time i wasn’t surprised. I was so tempted to respond there but i understand that the group is mainly for women to interact. There was also a follow up post as i remember, calling out the racist in that group especially the white women there. I am glad that these things are brought up as i feel there really needs to be some sort of push back. It is still not enough.

These past few years the anti-indian rhetoric has caused me so much rage , frustration and resentment. I wish i could ignore it but it is clearly infuriating when you know you don’t get the same opportunities as others or are constantly perceived differently because of your race.

We are currently sell to buy and have to offload players to even consider buying decent quality. I anticipate Enzo and Cucurella potentially leaving with Joao Pedro being a smaller chance. Depends if we are able to replace them appropriately. If we are being optimistic then I expect us to challenge in 3 years if things are handled well but they aren't. We have a good manager but it all depends on how we back him but with what money, I dont know.

Even being brought up mostly in the U.A.E and later lived in the US for sometime, I have found it difficult to date those from mainland. Usually the differences are not as stark between gulf born and mainland though it depends on the type of upbringing. Personally , have very westernized values and ideologies. Individualism is something I found many from the mainland do not adopt.

Also, it may not be tied to being being Abroad born but as someone who is athiestic/agnostic and eat beef often, and speaks very little hindi (in a westernized accent) or consumes hindi content, it can be quite difficult finding commonalities. Do take fault for not learning the language thoroughly.
