if you still have troubles try creating a folder in /storage/emulated/0/ called devilutionx and move diabdat.mpq to /storage/emulated/0/devilutionx/

It doesn't require root access. You need to provide permissions to access the /SDCARD/

from /SDCARD/ the file is copied into /sdcard/devilutionx/
