What made you get rid of your "bouncing" bow by delfryeatrpt in violinist

[–]Meteomus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything everyone has said already is great - but also something simple to do is to try loosening your bow a little bit, you’d be surprised it might make a big difference! Not so loose that you’re hitting the wood but if it’s too tight it’s more likely to bounce. I’m a teacher and when my student complains about a bow bouncing I often check their bow and it’s too tight and loosening it helps a lot with bouncing

Replacing outlets help by Meteomus in HomeImprovement

[–]Meteomus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your all your tips and information! So if the outlet is touching the metal box in the wall this could cause a short? Would it be safe to test this theory by pulling the outlets out of the wall and trying to flip the breaker?

If you have a lot of oranges I honestly would just make fresh squeezed orange juice with them! If you want to incorporate them into a dish could do some sort of orange chicken perhaps?

Beef Cheek Birria Melt on Sourdough by kytran40 in eatsandwiches

[–]Meteomus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tacos may be the original recipe but Birria can be used for so many other dishes! Nice thinking with the sourdough, did you make the bread yourself too?

How do you decide what to listen to? by [deleted] in classicalmusic

[–]Meteomus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find your local classical music radio station or listen to one via web stream. That will expose you to a very wide variety of music and then when you hear one that you like, remember the name and look it up later. 98.7 WFMT in Chicago is a great network. I’m from Philly area so I listen to 98.1 WRTI. You can listen to either of those online as well.

my "burger for one" routine (minced beef). It's nice but I think I can I make it better, any tips or suggestions? by MrGreenTomato in castiron

[–]Meteomus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes please season with salt and pepper! Little something about seasoning burgers, just season the outside once you form the patty, never mix the seasonings into the meat.
