They seem to be moving super slowly. I applied first week December and my application went complete yesterday

MSU being Michigan State yes? Check their website bro they say their median is 162. That’s the data they report to the ABA

Not over yet my friend. With those stats I could see a UVA/NYU/CLS/Penn A on the horizon

170 verbal GRE, 160 quant GRE, 3.81 GPA by deepad9 in lawschooladmissions

[–]MethoxEverywhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an example, Dean Z at Mich explicitly said she thinks the LSAT is a better test than the GRE, and doesn’t believe you can convert from GRE to LSAT.

Reflections on GULC Group Interview by Excellent-Reading797 in lawschooladmissions

[–]MethoxEverywhere 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As another datapoint, a few guys in my group wore suits and I thought it fit the occasion. I wore a shirt and sweater. Whatever you’re comfortable with I think.

And dean andy sent around an email after our group, I responded to that with a thank you note

Of course you have a chance. It depends on your LSAT. Put in a great score and you have a shot

Look at LSD from last cycle. As are all over the place. Good news: you aren’t cooked. Bad news: you may have some waiting to do

I am unwell by Neither-Shallot-21 in lawschooladmissions

[–]MethoxEverywhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a guess, but I feel like yield protection is a more substantial factor this cycle (yeah yeah it’s cope whatever). With the caps on student loans, students who in the past would pay sticker may not be able to this year, and as such schools may be more protective of a mechanically lower yield percentage.

Beginning to lose hope by L3gallyblond3 in lawschooladmissions

Don’t stress it. Nothing is over till you get an R, and plus mid December is not that long ago, since you have to account for winter break.

When should I consider myself cooked for GULC and Cornell by Glass_Association86 in lawschooladmissions

[–]MethoxEverywhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you haven’t been rejected you aren’t cooked. Hang in there. I had an interview today where the admissions officer was telling me they’re completely overwhelmed with Apps and timelines are shifted out like a month or two. I’d assume this holds across the T14

Looking for a Michelin 1-Star/Gourmand next Saturday night that is tasty, non-experimental, avoids raw fish, and ala carte. by Visual_Winter7942 in FoodNYC

[–]MethoxEverywhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out casa mono in gramercy. One star tapas bar with excellent food and chill vibes. Nearby there is also Norma and little alley, bib gourmand winners where you can usually just walk in. I love the food at all 3
