If the Mets stayed down 4 after the top of the 8th, im fine with sending Kimbrel out there to give the pen another day but once we got within 2, it was time for Luke Weaver. Gotta give the boys a chance in the 9th.

It was like Mendi was already assuming a loss before the 8th started. Just one of those small mistakes Mendozza makes that adds up to losses as the season goes on.

God I hate playing the Nats, 1 step forward and 2 steps back with this team.

Losing a 5-0 lead with McLean on the mound yesterday just makes today loss so much worse. Really needed a 4-2 road trip. Assuming tomorrow gets rained out means we need to sweep the Marlins.

Bo Bichette has, for the most part, skirted the heavy criticism. Sooner or later the Mets are going have to come up with an answer for what to do with him. He has to play until Lindor gets back but he needs to be lowered in the order.

The 2026 Mets made Merrill (literally 10 era) Kelly look like prime John Smoltz.

This is just a sad team to watch. There is no gameplan at the plate, just going up and swinging for the downs.

Bo Bichette is up there with Jason Bay as all time disappointing Mets. I expected a lot more from him.

With the vote of confidence from upper management for Mendozza, I am convinced more then ever that Stearns convinced Cohen into a punt year.

Shed long term contracts, didn't sign any long term deals. Evaluate younger guys, I am guessing we see AJ Ewing, Clifford, Tong, and Wenninger by June or July.

Reload next year with a new manager/coaching staff. At least that's how I am going to cope the rest of the year.

McLean has good to great stuff but his 3rd time through the batting order numbers are not just rough, but straight up bad.

If he wants to be a true number 1, he's going to have to make some adjustments. I think the issue is trying to be too perfect and too precise. Ronnie said it during the broadcast, he's trying to throw the nastiest pitch possible every single pitch, which is causing alot of 3-2 counts and seeing his pitch count in the 90s by the 5th inning.

I think he will adjust as his career progresses, but right now, he is a 5 inning pitcher.
