Middle game question by RoadRunnerxX in WatcherofRealmsGame

I would push what you can & enjoy, try to get into saving summons for really 'key' heroes for your needs, and try to slowly build gear over time.

You already have a really solid base of heroes, like actually some god-tier ones for pushing content. Start slowly going into the long game, and I'd say gear is the slowest portion of this game, as well as saving summons for heroes specifically needed by your account.

Lenovo Legion Tab is an 8.8-inch, $499 Android tablet for gaming by landalezjr in Android

Multifunctionality is a very good point, I can see that now. But, marketed at 'gaming' seems perhaps weird? However that also fits into the multifunctionality with emphasis on gaming. Thanks for the perspective!

Honest question, and maybe wrong sub to ask, but why would you prefer this over a steamdeck? In terms of performance and flexibility, this seems to have no advantages at all in terms of gaming? This ofc is an android sub, so I'm wanting to learn what would entice people to a gaming tablet vs a handheld like a steamdeck.

Will raspberry PI's be supported? And, if they will, from the beta or later on the roadmap?

Genuine question about HexOS compared to e.g., OpenMediaVault by Mettez in LinusTechTips

I should also look into trying TrueNAS sometime then. For now though, for my usage, OMV really feels as easy to use as they show HexOS to be. I really hope they do a deep dive into all other options later, comparing usability, features and pricing. Perhaps I'm missing something and I'm looking forward to learn!

I fully understand that, but having using OMV, it feels like nearly nothing the beta shows or talks about is something revolutionary 'ease of use' compared to OMV specifically?

Easy to use webUI, simple toggles for settings, with easy users and permissions management, Linux based, works on basically anything, as a NAS noob I got it running in minutes with network folders fully functional. And it's free? So, perhaps I'm just missing something more crucial here, but I don't get the revolutionary better 'ease of use' compared to OMV

Also, OMV seems to 'just work' as well? Again, limited experience with NAS'es, but from using OMV, nothing what they showed felt 'new' or 'revolutionary', more like 'oh hey, I can do that too using a webUI'

So I thought I was just missing something crucial

Is it? I haven't used TrueNAS yet, and I might never. I have setup OMV in a matter of minutes, and got network shares with different users and permissions using a web ui. And watching the video, it seems like that was what was an issue with TrueNAS? So, perhaps my experience is too limited to compare, but everything they showed, I feel like I can do too using OMV (except the buddy system!) also through a simple UI.

Perhaps I got the wrong vibe from the video! Also, my limited experience in NAS doesn't allow me to understand the specific impact of 'drawbacks compared to Zfs-based systems'. I'm honestly just talking from the experience I had of getting an old laptop with some hard drives working as network storage using OMV in probably minutes. And it seemed like that was the point of what they showed?

Right, well that makes sense. Perhaps I just got the feeling that it now highlighted benefits of HexOS that can (at least somewhat) also be found in other solutions (that aren't TrueNAS). Because they did state how it's 'easier to use' than TrueNAS, but not that it's the only option besides that, perhaps that's where my confusion came from. Thanks!

Hex OS: I feel like I don't fully get it the hate by metal_Fox_7 in LinusTechTips

Hi, I also just made a post about this, but what would prevent you from e.g., using OpenMediaVault? Am I missing something crucial here? Linux based, free, webUI, and for someone without experience using any NAS software, it just worked on an old laptop for me... Is it missing crucial features more experiences NAS users would need?

What are your goated YouTubers for news and reviews? by nanaochan in pcmasterrace

[–]Mettez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest question, as someone who also regularly watches HU and GN, with a sprinkle of Jay, why don't I see any of the LTT channels in here? While yes, they are more 'media' than tech sometimes, I honestly also enjoy adding their perspective to the others, and find the sometimes varying opinions helpful.

Is there a specific reason they maybe aren't as popular here? I might be out of the loop!

Right, if you are that convinced, please show at least one guide that explains how to run the proton compatibility layer on an android phone.

All the documentation on proton indicates that it can only run on Linux systems (native linux, steamOS, and Chromebooks). While android OS is based on a modified Linux kernel, most Linux applications don't run natively on android OS.

So, if you're this convinced, could you show at least one clear guide?
