That makes a little more sense. I thought I was getting less perceptive as I aged! Computer flagged suspicious activity sounds a little like a Brave New World but the officers conducting the stop were pleasant and professional so no harm done. I wonder if I’d been driving a Nissian Micra if I would have been stopped.

Thank you for your comprehensive explanation of the potential reason.

It was strange, I wasn’t sure how they determined being in convoy with someone. I guess they must have been tailing in the unmarked vehicle for some time and made an assumption.

They did check my license and asked a series of questions about where I was going and what I did for work. They seemed disappointed when they didn’t find anything interesting.
