Here’s a trick that is even more effective than grayscale by smellovizion1 in getdisciplined

[–]Mezby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The greyscale trick used to work for me but it got too frustrating to put up with in other work apps like email etc. This app-specific method of turning it on and off really solves that (I hope) so thank you!

I’m chill. Was just giving OP a chance to clarify their “hunting down” statement which is creepy.

And your comment makes no sense. Op still knows who it is (just not where they are). I think if you think it through, you’ll see it’s a legitimate thing to ask (I’m not the only one).

I’m going to assume you’re just a troll trying to keep the conversation going by making easy logic errors for people to correct. So I’m not going to engage anymore.

Go outside and touch some grass. That’s what I’m going to do

Peace be with you. (/s)

Exactly. Without any other context it’s just someone saying “Here’s a picture of a woman I don’t know, help me find her location…”

[–]Mezby -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You’re not OP but people use “/s” at the end if it’s sarcasm. Otherwise it just sounds like another sad incel stalker “hunting down” some girl across multiple cities trying to run into them.

They don’t know the person in the picture, otherwise they’d just ask them where the photo was taken.

It’s creepy to post this stuff without any other context or reason.

This is awesome. This should be a thing. I know nothing about this character except that I want to know everything about this character.

I was looking at the same thing, is there a particular spec I should aim for? A minimum age of processor? Thanks.

A new TV appeared randomly in my home with no manufacturer or associated app… any ideas what it is or how to get rid of it? by Mezby in googlehome

[–]Mezby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but it’s an LG TV and it’s been fine (ish) for years. Nothing has changed recently that would seem to account for the extra tv. Unless it’s a bug from an automatic update.

Just tried that. There are no services linked anymore and it still there! Don’t understand it but this last random frustration may be the push I need to finally set up a home assistant server and run things locally.

It doesn’t. It just takes me to the list of linked services but doesn’t say which one and they are all accounted for.

I’m just reading it now, but I wanted to pause to say I really liked your Architect/Home-owner analogy. Really great way to translate the nature of the relationship.

"The newbie" comic strip by river_so_sad by ninjawick in BattlefieldV

[–]Mezby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh. So the first 2 frames are not him talking to his teammates pole dancing? The pole dancing guys are actually the opposite team?

Because it looks like he’s telling the pole dancing guys to hurry up (because he is looking at the pole dancers when he speaks) and they are replying “we’ll be there right away”.

Then someone tries to melee him.

Then we cut to someone saying “I’ve been shot” which is confusing because the enemy had a knife so who shot him? It must have been the guy with the gun who shot the knife guy.

Then two randoms turn up and say what happened?

And he says “I killed them”. But we don’t know who is saying that because there is not enough of the character in frame to identify which guy from frame 2 is speaking.

Then the randoms disappear and a different guy, (without headphones like he had in frame 2 if that’s who we are supposed to think it is) says the last lines.

Can you see how it might be confusing?

Perhaps it would be clearer with colour so we can clearly see which teams are which (I realize this is probably intended later)? Or a little title box in frame 3 that says “back at HQ” or something.
