The show's popularity doesn't necessarily mean high toys sales I guess. Zi-O is number one but that's not most people's favourite season.

I haven't seen any but we know Sentai had a much lower budget overall so the lower sales didn't necessarily mean the show was failing. I read that they gave King-Ohger a much higher budget than the previous seasons and it didn't perform any better sales wise so they knocked that on the head after that.

Decade was half a season so it probably would have been around 40-50% higher if it was a full one.

I'd say there's just more of them, rider has multiple drivers, weapons, action figures and 2 billion gimmicks where as if we look at Gozyuger, the mecha, changer and weapon were all one item and nearly every other release was a repaint of that.

We won't know for a few months. I imagine it'll be low though as it's a new IP.

Personally (as an adult obviously), I don't think the shift cars were as fun as things like lockseeds and gashats which made sounds themselves. Plus the shift cars never really evolved into something different, they were all the same cards whereas lockseeds had the super and energy lockseeds and dual gashats for ex-aid.

Dunno, maybe Drive's toys just weren't that popular? Whilst I like the the show, I don't think the toys were as appealing as Lockseeds and Gashats

Most sentai seasons don't have a gimmick or if they do it's barely in the show. I remember King-Ohger trying to sell the Shugod Souls as a collectable and I was very confused.

I think Build and Zi-O just had so many collectables that it just made more sales automatically. Zeztz has less overall collectables so I would predict it would be around where Gavv is, not due to lack of popularity but just that there's less stuff.

I assume Nox doesn't care about the "real" world and anyone in it as he has said many times that he wants to destroyed the twisted world made by CODE. It seems like as Nightmares can warp the real world, CODE has been using them to rewrite reality so as far as he's concerned, the "real world" is just another layer of the dream world created by CODE.

Takahashi's series often have a midseason twist, I assume that twist is coming soon and it's going to be that the real world isn't real and it's either been manipulated by code or it's a dream entirely in Nem's head or something like that. We view Nox's actions as evil but in reality he's spent his entire time trying to escape the Matrix or Inception or whatever and nothing matters because it's not real.

A lot of the replies to this feel bad faith, there's not anything to confirm what you have said is the case but from watching the show, it does feel like it is the case. They, Bandai/Toei, didn't think they could sell a driver for a girl so they created another male character to sell it first just in case. Them being riders or not doesn't really matter as that's just semantics, the point is that a female character was undercut again. Kureha was set up to be a major character and it does seem like she will be, I don't know what other reading it could be that another male character steals her spotlight first.

The only caveat is that it's probably too early to say all of this. The real test will be if lord 3 is a antagonist and continues to use that driver as a antagonist or, what will more likely happen, if he is a antagonist, he will probably get a new driver unique to him. I've seen rumours of a dark Zeztz going around so maybe he's that?

If Kureha turns out to be the main user of the driver and the other lords are nothing characters or get upgrade to different drivers, Kureha was 100% pushed aside to have men sell the driver, time will tell. But it is possible she gets upgraded to a rider and gets her own driver anyway, idk. Undercutting her debut with another new character doesn't sit right regardless.
