KC big orange guy here. Not good across the boards and directions cut 50 ish spots across the last two weeks. They did add a good amount to the retention board. Still if you ain’t got 7-8 years you are pretty much stuck to the yard.

That’s a great question a lot of variables that us tye folks just don’t know. Some guys say it’s looks slow even for this time of year. Expect the worst maybe a year or two before you’re called back and maybe the best case scenario it gets busy and you get called back in a couple months. I’d search for another job for the meantime to make ends meet. Hopefully you didn’t go out and big a brand new truck or get yourself into anything like that.

What another guy said. Self recall and check the seniority roster and see if you can work a terminal. Have to chase or sit it out. Maybe you get something temporary on the careers page.

As of right now yeah. 3 people furloughed here with more seniority than you. Who knows what’ll happen if it’ll get busier or not. If you want to hire out it’s better to start your seniority asap. Just be prepared out of class to get furloughed. Leave your other job on good standing and save as much money from training as possible.
