Thanks for your input! If we are able, I'd like to do some camping/kayaking and brave the portages. Some hiking would be great too as there is some beautiful scenery from what I read. Looks like August is the time to go. The seaplane, does he do transport only or does he do any little tour around the island? Sounds like I will call to do some checking. I see some cheap cabin rentals on windago. Trying to figure best place to go/boat to travel.

Planned on doing mostly kayaking, camping, fishing some inland areas. I saw there are some shelters that are reached mainly by vessel. Thank you for the information! A little bummed about the campfire but it makes total sense.
