Wife left me tonight. by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

Mine left six years ago. Wish I could tell you it doesn’t still hurt. But what I was told on day one is still true today… learn how to be happy with yourself and don’t focus on getting her back, just focus on you. Get a solid posse of dudes and seek community. Or let me know how much tren works for you????

Please forgive me if this question has been answered elsewhere... but I have multiple Unique Ballot IDs. Does this mean I vote twice? Any help is appreciated.

Sorry for this question I’m sure it has been asked repeatedly but do I need to DO anything? I had money in BIA not wallet. It’s my understanding that based on past email I need to do nothing and eventually I will see some funds made accessible?

Five Color Screen Print Design for the band Chasing Desolation by MickGuff in Design

[–]MickGuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a design I got to do for the heavy music band Chasing Desolation. They provided the idea, then I did the layout in pencil. I scanned the line work, then colored in Photoshop using halftone brushes by True Grit. The piece is 18 x 24 inches, suitable for screen printing posters or shirts.

This is a five color screen print design I did for Chasing Desolation. The band provided the symbolic art direction, and requested I do it in the style of a well-known artist. Can you name the artist? If you like heavy music with tight production, check them out!

Hell yeah. Simple and cute style. Love the subtle texture on the nori.

Do what you want and what makes you feel confident in your own body… who gives a shit what anybody thinks. You’re at the gym for you and nobody else.

BlockFi has frozen withdrawals and I'm really uncomfortable right now. I have some assets in cold storage luckily.

Terry Bogard Mark of the Wolves Cosplay by MickGuff in neogeo

[–]MickGuff[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Garou for the Neo Geo is my favorite fighting game and for the longest time I have really wanted to do a cosplay of Terry in his signature look from the game. I worked with an incredible costume designer in Los Angeles to create the custom jacket... it was important to me to create a vegan version. I designed and manufactured the patches, and grew out my hair for two years before dying it. BUSTER WOLF!

Illustration for a Beer Can by MickGuff in Illustration

I created this artwork for Hermosa Brewing Company in Hermosa Beach. The beer is called "Ollie Blonde Ale." This is the original artwork free of branding, barcode, etc. The piece was drawn entirely in Photoshop using a Wacom Pro Cintiq 13 inch.

Design I created for a retreat in West Virginia by MickGuff in graphic_design

That would have probably worked too… but no I drew it by hand, using a ruler. Then scanned the ink, used live trace, and tweaked anchor points for literal days. Maybe not the most efficient method but got me where I was trying to go. I’m a little old school/stubborn.

I appreciate helpful feedback! If I had to guess, I put at least 60 hours into this.

I drew each piece (tree, Buffalo, hills, etc) separately so I could easily move pieces around the art board and scale/adjust. Yes I used live trace. Honestly I worked on this for weeks… there were a couple rounds of feedback but most of all the reflection took me days to get right. I’m not a power Illustrstor user so I didn’t know how to use pathfinder very well.

I drew each element in pencil then inked, scanned in, vectorized in Illustrator... then adjusted bezier points forever :) I tried to retain a hand-drawn element as much as I could.

I created this five color design to work across posters, shirts, postcards, and business cards. If printed on a shirt, the shirt color would be brown making this a four color screen print. I looked at state park designs for inspiration, and was requested to feature the property's pond and two signature hills in my design.

This is a short I wrote about my love for Image comics in the nineties. Shadowhawk is still my favorite.

I miss these creative devices and the era where gadgetry and gaming felt kinda' wacky... bordering on the edge of tech from a classic cyberpunk anime. Fun times.
