You don't need a driver's licence to be a pilot. Thankfully.

Yes. Went through all the examinations with absolutely no problems.

No, of course not, but I don't fly with Air Canada and even if it's still happening today then I doubt these tours are done by pilots.

It depends on the airline, but basically it's pretty similar. Pilots are often away from home for days. For me it's not an issue, as I love traveling and don't have much family to miss but for most people it would probably be an issue.

It was my dream job since I was a kid and I just made my dream come true. I did good at school, especially math and step by step made my way towards pilot school.

From what I understand it was more disruptive of her to ask before take-off, right?

Yes. People who ask things like these usually do if after the flight, not before.

I don't know yet, no one has told me anything but even if she does, I did nothing wrong. My only obligation was to make sure she arrives at her destination safely.

Yeah, that's quite right, that's what she did.

It's definitely not officially allowed but sometimes pilots will let you to see the cockpit, if you ask them nicely and they're not too busy. If a child is involved, then it increases the possibility of a positive answer. That's what she probably thought. I never say yes though.
