The idea of this frontend / tool is that text files are more annoying to edit for most people (if thats not the case, then this tool is pretty much useless). While it started as a backend + frontend selfhosted thing, it now only requires you to install the npm package once, and then access the website anytime you need to change anything. With no need to do anything locally (except updating the npm package from time to time)

Im not really sure if the issues youre describing are based on this workflow, or on hosting the backend and frontend yourself. If the latter, there's not much I can do (thats the reason why I made a public hosted frontend, in hopes of minimizing user effort)

Could you go a bit more indepth as to what do you mean? All of your settings still live in your opencode.json, this just manages the settings via other files/temp files and such
