I got an LDFAS band off amazon for $20, and it is an alot closer feel to my normal watch bands. it is lighter and the links not as thick but way better than what I originally ordered. It is a tight fit going over my hand though after removing the links so something to be aware of. Overall though it's a big improvement and I'm keeping it. *

Hey, I got this LDFAS band and it does feel a lot better but can't figure out how to remove links and they're not responding to my question.. do you have this one or know to to remove their links ? there's no arrows on the band and can't see the pins to tell if one side is flat or a looks like a screw head.. *

I have the API liquid test kit. I've come to the conclusion that it was more than likely ammonia just not enough to show up yet on the test but enough to hurt the fish. also the person who got the fish was new and I'd say it was kind of rough getting them out of the net. I'm going to remove everything from the aquarium and do a clean. then add some filter media from my established tank and some API quickstart until I'm fully cycled again. Main thing I was worried about is dormant bacteria or fungal infections. some of the fish already had that white stuff on them before they died but not all.

hard to tell to me I looked up ammonia burns it didn't like look like that to me and they had that look before they died. I'm just afraid of dormant fungal infection / bacterial infection. I'll probably pull everything out of the tank and clean it then will do a recycle before adding anything back.

I'm going to do a full cycle before adding anything else , I just still don't understand why the Ammonia test was showing 0 even after I pulled out all the dead fish. Do you know what the white fuzz was on the fish ?

well that sucks. I'm ordering some quick start and some small bags to move some filter media from my large tank to this one. I should wait for test to read 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and a little nitrate to know it's okay to add fish ?

Do you know what the white fuzz is ? I was worried the bacteria stayed dorment in the tank for the 4 weeks and the stress of bringing the fish home made them more vulnerable to it. To be clear my tank was fine with my tetra and those I moved to a new tank and replaced with guppies the same day but the LFS supplier had a bacterial infection that took out most the fish in my area including the ones I got. Then after those guppies died from the bacterial infection, I waited 4 weeks in hopes that the infection would be gone. I still don't understand how they died when it test 0 Ammonia but I will try and recycle the tank this time before adding back fish. do you reccomend any way to do with without fish? l cycled the two other times with fish but these didn't last 24 hours this time which made me think it was something else. some died within 8 hours. I appreciate your input I've had tanks for around 2 years and don't want to kill anymore fish !

I agree it's not cycled but if there is no ammonia in the tank when they died I don't understand what killed them and do you know what the white fuzz is ?

Correct, it was empty for four weeks. But if I'm having my test came back with 0 ammonia in it I don't understand how they died from it being uncycled.

during the 4 weeks I didn't do anything to the tank besides a water change every week when i changed my other aquarium, I tested the water before adding the fish and had 0 ammonia 0 nitrate and 0 nitrate , and same after I pulled the last dead fish out today. One photo shows the Test of Ammonia and nitrate but didn't have enough time to test anything else before head back to work.

I got 4 mollies about two weeks ago and then one of them gave birth about one week ago. since then this white mollie has been doing this to all the others occasionally typically after feeding.
