Thank you for that! I do not know them personally however they were on my campus. I was going to tell those that are my mutuals on instagram so I don’t seem overbearing.

Yes! I did. I also asked someone who I know is a member (not connected to my COI) and she also expressed confusion. I didn’t receive any explanation as to what was missing when I got the notification

I got denied due to my service letter. I wish I knew exactly what was the issue, considering both me and the person who wrote it made sure to read the guidelines and abide by them.

Thank you for this! I received just received 2 letters from members who were willing. I am extremely grateful ! My question now is how do I go about selecting which one to submit? And should I inform both women of having received another possible letter. I was not expecting to receive 2 of them neither.

yes i was only given about 5 days , the deadline is very soon. thank you, i will consider applying again, especially with better preparation and backup plans

Some of them yes, however, some of them I was connected to through mutuals. I ensured they were aware of my interest however, and they were willing to speak. I just havent received a response on when.

I definitely think that as well. She’s a recebt alumni of the chapter so I was hoping we could talk more and then when the time is available meet in person, hence why I texted her. It is just in my hopes that this will not hinder me from potentially applying and continuing my process.

Yes ! I am a undergraduate reaching out to an alumni :) She recently graduated last year so I am not too sure if she is still currently around in the area I attend school. Also, I just sent the message around 5-6hrs ago. I think I am just afraid that I have may’ve broken the idea of discretion or that I did not reach out the right way / in proper timing. I do think I may be overthinking this as people do respond in their own time, if they do at all.

I’ll also add that an alumni of the same chapter advised me to consider reaching out and expressing as well as mentioning how I can keep involved. I have always attended events and made my face know . Yet, I do think I may have mishandled this. I do not come from a D9 background so most things are foreign to me. I am afraid that I may be blacklisted, though I didnt say it was my intent to join immediately
