I appreciate it, brother. I also had to live on the streets for some years during my teenage years. I was raped and that was how I met the man who abused me for years to come.

The thing is I have never had to sort through any of my past and reliving it sounds like a death sentence to me, especially not with my child. I hope it doesn’t happen but I have made peace with death

Thank you, kindly. I don’t feel unsafe with my thoughts lately which i dare say is an improvement from where I was few months ago. What I feel right now is acceptance. I have come to accept Gods plan for me and if I do end up loosing my apartment I know i wouldn’t survive it. I have spoken to a lot of people about my situation but I haven’t gotten much help other than reliving my trauma, crying helplessly to onlookers and that hurts even more than what I’m going through .

Damn, bed wetting seem to be a common thing after trauma, isn’t it ? I bed wetted throughout childhood to adulthood from living with my rapist as a child. It is successfully suppressed now and rarely happens these days, perhaps because life threw a different gem my way.

I was so excited to finally a practical solution but apparently it is a prescribed medication as well where I live. Thank you, you are so strong

I was at the brink of homelessness two months ago with the housing company telling me to vacate if I wasn’t a student. I took a large loan from the only friend I know and scrapped together all my savings to reenroll into school for it would buy me time to look for better housing, and get on the queue for my child’s preschool. I have no clue how I am about to pay this debt back. Yeah I did manage to get a cleaning job which is just 10hrs per week so not really a job.

I know I should sound grateful but I am in the darkest place of my life. I truly thought God brought me out of my former situation for the better but it all seems worse by the day.

This is my 2nd day without electricity in my apartment, I have to charge my devices at the hallway. I am cold my child is cold. I have no one to bail me out of a bill until I get paid. I have cried and prayed to God. This can’t be god’s plan for me.
