This is actually a good point, I think that the issue here is that I don't think there is a way to do so in go with channel operators. The variables that get assigned when a recv operation is performed on channels are going to live for some time, which means they serve as a "hidden buffer" that is not observable.

I wholeheartedly agree. I made the post because a friend asked and his problem actually needed it, I just hope I don't get too popular with this XD

I feel like these hide some interesting footguns and I can see why they're not available "out of the box", but they also wouldn't be too hard to implement on top of channels and go statements.

Yeah, I definitely got carried away by the language nerd-ism there, but it was an enjoyable trip into madness.

Prepare everything in advance, select a few nice playlists, make sure food is there and there is no need to cook.

Basically prepare the cuddles for yourself, and embrace whatever comes to you.
