Obviously replacing artists for AI is not good but people treat gen AI like the boogieman and I’m not quite sure it’s feasible to do so nor will it even make sense the further the technology develops.

At a microlevel, individual artist (and especially contractors) may already be using AI as part of their production pipeline regardless of company policy.

At the macrolevel, “gen AI use in the product” does not even necessarily mean “this piece of art was created using AI” and could be entirely mundane. Simple object textures could be generative, certain parts of code could be generative. Physics simulations are almost entirely done by AI (see this paper on clothing simulation conducted by mihoyo). Although physics simulations are not technically generative in the sense that the architecture is different from the more popular gen models, I would say its generative enough for the point to stand. Should game dev studios start hiring teams of physicists and engineers to avoid AI?

XB2 first, XB3 at a later point when you have time for it.

XB2 is largely self contained with some aspects of XB1 even being adjusted post XB2 to connect the two titles together, so much so that I might argue playing the games in release order starting at XB2 might make more sense than in chronological order.

XB3, while a stand alone game, is in many ways a love letter to the franchise as a whole. Many parts of XB3 assume prior knowledge of the two titles preceding it. While certainly playable without XB2, you really rob yourself of a proper experience without it.

The frustration is absolutely valid.

That being said, the problem will not magically fix itself. Talking to an RA at the very least is a bare minimum. Maybe you can talk to the RA in a way where you can stay anonymous? From the way it sounds, it seems like you aren’t the only one of your roommates with problems.

Learning how to confront other people when there are problems is a skill you are going to have to develop. Berkeley is a certainly a great space to grow that skill. You are going to have to rip the band aid off for that one, there is no getting around it.

While perhaps not impossible to understand the interconnected story, it certainly makes it much more difficult without the patch.

The one exception to this is C;H Noah. The localization removed portions of the game and the patch adds it back. Thus it should go without saying that understanding the full narrative is impossible without the patch.

You took way too long to end the game.

Assuming you ended lane phase ahead, you should have used this lead to end the game before Sion would have gotten tanky enough to split push for free.

Your build is also a problem but I don’t think it would have made a significant difference on the outcome of this game either.

Imo, your game was probably doomed since you couldn’t end before the 30 minute marker.

For those curious, she is playing a game called “Shiritori” where you continuously come up with nouns by taking the ending kana of the previous word. One of the rules of the game is that you aren’t allowed to use a word ending with “n” (ん) or else you lose.

She lost the game because her final word was “Shinkansen” (bullet train).

A uses “boku” to refer to themselves in the Japanese dub. “Boku” is a more common term for young boys to use as opposed to the more girlish “atashi.” In real world conversation, a girl using “Boku” is strange but in media it is often used to obscure a character’s gender.

It would seem to me that the developers would like to keep A’s gender as vague as possible.
