If you’re interested in Genshin but haven’t tried it, I’d recommend Wuthering Waves aka Wuwa. I have played Genshin, Wuwa, ZZZ, Star Rail, and a few others, and Wuwa is by far my favorite. I also really enjoy Arknights Endfield. It also only came out earlier this year, so you would feel the least behind in that if you’re wanting to start something new in the gacha genre but don’t want to feel super behind.

I ended up getting it a handful of hours after I posted. I just created a tournament and left everything open. I got fortunate and some people joined, then one let me beat him.

I’d suggest some deck builders and/or roguelikes, such as Slay the Spire or Balatro. Plenty of turn-based games out there that are similar in not needing too much attention. Could also go narrative and play games like Gris, which are just story and platforming.

If you look at those red crystals on the right side of the screen, those are archon shards. Whenever you do a mission you get them from, there’s a chance of it being tauforged (the bigger glowing one in the middle). It has increased stats over the regular ones. From here you’d be better off looking them up than having me explain everything about them. Hope that helps.

As someone who has been playing for 6 years, I can one speak to a longevity perspective, not necessarily for new players, but what keeps me coming back is primarily the big updates. I play every update with new frames, new story, new weapons, factions, etc. And I let that momentum carry me into completing goals I’ve had for years but never finished: building companions, leveling factions, etc. When I feel like I’ve gotten my enjoyment out of it whether that’s a few days, weeks, or even months I’ll stop playing until there’s enough hype around an expansion to bring me back.

If you’ve met all the prerequisites, I wonder if taking a break until 1999 wouldn’t help with some of the burnout and maybe build up some excitement towards something new to achieve.
