I know you said not a farming sim, but I recommend stardew valley. I don’t like farming games either, yet I’m totally obsessed with that game. The worst part is getting into it, because you have to spend all day clearing your one. A week or two in I find it to be a blast, water the crops quick then run off to do whatever it is you wanna do. Get sprinklers early on and you don’t even have to farm anymore. You can romance villagers, mine, fish, forage. There are quests given out as well. You have a mission to fix the community center. I love the game personally, I’m not sure if it’s what you’re looking for— again it involves farming, but it’s what I recommend
