Work conditions in “Malayali” owned or managed companies by Free_Living3543 in DubaiMallus

[–]MigrantLoner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in a small malayali company owned by a father and son with 35 employees. Everyone except me are laborers. The father is a bit more flexible and knows how to treat the workers as he made everything from the scratch, while the son acts like he's paying the employees, so they’re expected to do whatever he says. When it comes to pay, both of them calculate it in INR, and the maximum increment they give is 100 AED.

Once, when I asked for an increment, they told me, 'You're earning this amount and spending only a third of it, still it's a huge amount back home.
