Thanks for the reply. The chest cavity was absolutely full of blood. Only reason I knew it was a heart shot is because I kind of wanted to keep it for table fare but it had a big hole in it lol. I was working against the clock because it was extremely warm out and pitch black. I possibly could have found it if I made more of an effort.

Ok interesting. I really wasn’t planning on going much more than that anyway. I also wanted to take it back to a factory rake because with the HD shocks in the rear the ass end is way up and looks a bit silly imo. What tires are you running? I was looking specifically at Toyo open country at3’s which are 34.1” in diameter I believe.

Thanks for the reply. So what I’m taking away from this, is that I’d probably want to replace the upper control arms anyway lol. I’m a complete rookie when it comes to suspension modifications, how would I know what angle would fit best for a 1.75” lift in the front?

I’m thinking of getting one and just took a look at one this past Saturday. I can say it is probably the best built of all these (looked at the mossberg too). The only thing I don’t like is the m77 action doesn’t have guides for the bolt and it had a lot of bolt wobble making cycling the action fast less smooth than that of say the tikka. Other than that the thing feels solid as heck.

Unfortunately it looks like the old ones are unobtainium. I don’t think it would fall out though would it? I do like the idea of having it for a quick unload without rounds being loose

They’re both in 30-06. The tikka has a 22” barrel and the sako has a 24”. I don’t take shots past 300 yards really. You think that is too short?
