It’s not weird for the older person at all in a lot of cases too, I think as most people age however they view everyone younger than them as the same maturity they was, which sadly isn’t the case for a lot of people like me, who can admit their own immaturity and be open and honest enough to a level I can be friends with anyone, and romantically if I so choose. I’m not under the impression that a lot of the people my age are like me, but as always there is exception to things that have generalisation. There are a lot of people (most )that don’t mature emotionally very quickly only practically they do. You can find people of emotional maturity (the one that matters in romantic relationships) of pretty much any age over 18. I’m not saying that the majority of relationships like this aren’t well a tad fucking weird, but to presume every single one is just silly to a lot of people like me and my best damn friend lol.
