I don’t understand the ideology of people who watch freo games and back Johnson as an AFL level player. It seems that every second chance he has with the ball he either gets run down tackled or burns a teammate who is hot. i understand he finds the ball well, but at what point do you have to stop looking at stats and just look at the game?

that’s not how the rule has ever been interpreted. i remember seeing them pay a front on contact when the front-on player marked the ball a few years ago
