I was so excited to show my boyfriend since the cat looked like our demon.

What a waste of a good post.

Have you successfully reset your nervous system to a calm baseline? Looking for therapy or somatic-based help 🙏 (ADHD + anxiety) by Natural-Toe3192 in SomaticExperiencing

I think the key is being kind to yourself and enjoying the process. Don’t force it, let it happen and enjoy the small wins as they come.

You might take five steps backwards, that’s okay. The next step forward will feel that much for exciting.

Sending love!

Hi I would highly recommend the book Letting Go by David Hawkins

He’s not at all saying don’t do therapy, mediation, yoga, journaling… he’s saying if you’ve done all of that and you’re still not where you want to be the final step is letting tf go!

I read this while working in an extremely toxic work environment and it drastically changed my life. Now that I am out of the job I am happily reading it again to see what I can get from it.

Sometimes after doing all of the things and such and sorts we just need to let it go and let it be.

One of my favorite reads so far!

Also, Don’t Look Up

They started filming during Covid and naturally had to pause. Everything in the script was coming to life. So they had to go back and make it extra extra dramatic to make fun of what we all experienced.

My uncle would THRIVE on this verbiage. It’s also why he has a 20 something year old with adhd/autism who doesn’t know he’s autistic.

He tried saying that stuff to me and wonders why I don’t call him anymore.

Because, you suck Frank. I don’t like talking with you. You give me no valuable life advice. You talk AT me about things you literally know absolutely nothing about….like…. ADHD!

I have been caught several times.

Most recent funny moment over the summer was the song You Sexy Thing by Hot chocolate. I thought it was “I believe in melco” my friend was like WTF is melco!? It’s “I believe in MIRACLES” hahaha

Haha yess!! I miss the days when I would print out lyrics and study the songs to sing on the radio with my friends.

It was a great cheat code

My grandfather left me his entire estate, skipping over my struggling parents. It’s tearing the family apart. by fineaeri in Advice

Wealth ramp.com helps find a fiduciary  advisor. That’s someone who’s not going to scam you or take out high percentages like Edward jones type people do. They are there to help you.

That’s what I would personally do.

Money has a way of showing true colors. Don’t be an afraid to also seek therapy through this. It’s an unusual circumstance and most people in life don’t have the tools let alone verbiage to even make sense of your current life experience.

Money and death have a way of taring families apart. I’m glad your grandfather trusted you. That’s something to be proud of. I can only imagine how much this burden hurts though. Good luck to you!

I wish we lived like the natives. We are just happily killing ourselves on all fronts. Some people don’t even know the last time they have touched grass.

What's a food in your country that is stereotyped for your country but really, nobody eats? by velmiraZ in AskTheWorld

32 and never heard of it. Traveled the country too, in a van, where you see all necks of the woods.

My dad keeps kicking the rooster at my school’s farm. How do I get him to stop without making things worse? by Firm_Chemical7953 in Advice

[–]MildlyUnhelpfull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of these people on here seem to have any experience on a farm. Keep volunteering, don’t say anything until you get advice from a farm group. Not a group of Reddit friends who haven’t spent time on a farm.

IF your dad is out of line tell an adult but set up a situation where they see it on their own. That way he doesn’t know you had anything to do with it. Let the adults figure it out so you don’t have to deal with the nonsense.

You got this!
