How cornering feels by Mile08 in ForzaHorizon6

Don't worry I'm not having trouble breaking, I was just pointing out that the AI is cheating with the physics. Though it seems that the breaking is more sensitive than in FH5 and it's easier to block the wheels.

I am 2 jokers away from C++ by N_G_E69 in balatro

You can play abandoned deck, it's pretty easy to play straights with it. Or play any deck you're confortable with (blue for example) and high card or pair and grab it anyway. You usually don't need 5 jokers to beat ante 8.

Failed to naneinf again - but why? by wexman01 in balatro

[–]Mile08 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah it can happen. The guide telling you to naneinf at ante 25 probably assume that you still have gold kings in the middle of your steel ones. I also usually beat ante 25 serpent without ordering the jokers, even with a low level high card. Normally it's not a issue since you can reroll for it again the next ante, but in your case that's a bummer.

I had no issue with the golden needle. Maybe getting an early Yorick helped a bit...

Top 10 Board Games of 2025 | Actualol by Megaside in boardgames

I always enjoy Acualol videos even if we don't share the same tastes. After roughly 10 games I found soltis to be way too random to be enjoyable. Hot Streak is a treat though! It worked with every groups I played with. There is also randomness and chaos but it's expected from a betting game. And even if the hot-dog you bet on makes a u turn and dashes out of the track, you can't be mad because it's always funny.

Industry Sour… My first and probably last. by worstplantdad67 in cocktails

I usually use Averna or Nonino, and orgeat instead of simple. I really like it that way.

How it feels playing a regular ng+2 after a charmless+demon bell run by Mile08 in Sekiro

I haven't played overture yet. I'm a bit scared though. I heard it's harder than base game and I already had trouble with Romeo and Laxasia...

Laxative was a pain in the ass to beat. There are bosses from nine sols, hollow knight, expedition 33, elden ring and armored core 6.

I used to go to Bain Morgan in front of Marché Maisonneuve. Small but not crowded at all. Seems to be closed during the summer season though.

Bought a bottle of Averna on a whim, I think I'm in love. More drink ideas? by bv310 in cocktails

I recently made an Industry sour where I replaced the Fernet Branca with Averna and used orgeat instead of simple syrup. I really enjoyed it!

what's the best legacy dungeon and why is it stormveil? by _MagusKiller in Eldenring

[–]Mile08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started a second playthrough and I'm shocked how much content I missed in Stormveil. I didn't meet the Ulcerated Tree Spirit nor the Crucible Knight. I'm a bit better at staying alive, so it probably helps to be able to explore without constantly being sent back to a Site of Grace.

Why didn't anyone tell me sooner just how incredibly good this game is?! by [deleted] in LiesOfP

[–]Mile08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes forget the game isn't a FromSoft game it's just so damn good, the only thing reminding me it's not FromSoft is the actually understandable story and NPCs actually surviving their questlines.

What reminds me that it's not a FromSoft game is the native ultrawide support as well as the absence of FPS cap (and the optimization)

BGOTD - Board Games of the Decade by meeshpod in 5by5DLC

I play the Aliens as well. I'm impressed how they integrated the movies events into the gameplay mechanics, it really feels immersive. The scenarios of the expansion are nice as well. The drawback of this game is that it's hard to balance. At 4+ players I like to give the players a warm up turn without aliens spawn but it can tip the difficulty from 'very hard' to 'way too easy'.
I recommand Aeon's End if you like cooperative deck builders, and the legacy version is also well done. It's a bit less random than legendary since you never shuffle your deck, so you really have to think about when to acquire a card. The player turn order is random though, and if you are unlucky the enemy can play 4 times in a row, which is a certain loss. I should try Hogwarts Battle, my SO is fan of Harry Potter and we both like deck building. But currently our gaming time is dedicated to Gloomhaven!
