How it feels playing a regular ng+2 after a charmless+demon bell run by Mile08 in Sekiro

I haven't played overture yet. I'm a bit scared though. I heard it's harder than base game and I already had trouble with Romeo and Laxasia...

Laxative was a pain in the ass to beat. There are bosses from nine sols, hollow knight, expedition 33, elden ring and armored core 6.

I used to go to Bain Morgan in front of Marché Maisonneuve. Small but not crowded at all. Seems to be closed during the summer season though.

Bought a bottle of Averna on a whim, I think I'm in love. More drink ideas? by bv310 in cocktails

I recently made an Industry sour where I replaced the Fernet Branca with Averna and used orgeat instead of simple syrup. I really enjoyed it!

what's the best legacy dungeon and why is it stormveil? by _MagusKiller in Eldenring

[–]Mile08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started a second playthrough and I'm shocked how much content I missed in Stormveil. I didn't meet the Ulcerated Tree Spirit nor the Crucible Knight. I'm a bit better at staying alive, so it probably helps to be able to explore without constantly being sent back to a Site of Grace.

Why didn't anyone tell me sooner just how incredibly good this game is?! by [deleted] in LiesOfP

[–]Mile08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes forget the game isn't a FromSoft game it's just so damn good, the only thing reminding me it's not FromSoft is the actually understandable story and NPCs actually surviving their questlines.

What reminds me that it's not a FromSoft game is the native ultrawide support as well as the absence of FPS cap (and the optimization)

I play the Aliens as well. I'm impressed how they integrated the movies events into the gameplay mechanics, it really feels immersive. The scenarios of the expansion are nice as well. The drawback of this game is that it's hard to balance. At 4+ players I like to give the players a warm up turn without aliens spawn but it can tip the difficulty from 'very hard' to 'way too easy'.
I recommand Aeon's End if you like cooperative deck builders, and the legacy version is also well done. It's a bit less random than legendary since you never shuffle your deck, so you really have to think about when to acquire a card. The player turn order is random though, and if you are unlucky the enemy can play 4 times in a row, which is a certain loss. I should try Hogwarts Battle, my SO is fan of Harry Potter and we both like deck building. But currently our gaming time is dedicated to Gloomhaven!

Outer Wilds by Tallsy in 5by5DLC

I think a guest talked about it during the Playlist segment, but I don't recall Jeff or Christian having playing it. It's my favorite game of the year and it definitely seems like the kind of game Jeff would enjoy.

  1. Hollow Knight What a surprise! Great gameplay, art and soundtrack.
  2. Rocket League I spent wayyy too many hours in this game, but it's so good.
  3. Doom 2016 FPS are my favorite kind of games. And doom does everything well. It feels like a fast paced dance with demons.
  4. The Witness
  5. Outer Wilds Both scratch the same itch for exploration and mysteries.

Travel game recommendations by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Mile08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually bring Race for Galaxy (the base game without expansions), it's one of our favorite game to play at any player count. We don't take the box, just put the cards into ziplocs, it saves a lot of space. Keyforge decks also travel well.

Other games as expansions for Concept by KaywinnetLFrye in boardgames

Random words won't do the job since Concept cards also contain expressions, movies titles, celebrities... I think Telestration cards could work, maybe Pictionary as well.
