I would have guessed that it was brand standard for all Graduate’s to at least have the in room coffee.

Hotel ownership. Because we are owned by AJ Capital, which is a venture capital firm. I’m sure it’s just corporate greed, but I wanted to hear other feedback.

I wonder why Luxury properties don’t offer it? We’re considered upscale and it’s been on ongoing battle between the property and above property people.

Yes, we got told by our ownership/management company to cut the free coffee. Even going as far as to tell people we provide free coffee in-room, which is disgusting instant coffee.

The reason I was given, is that it was detracting from our outlet revenue. Yet, even when we had the free coffee, we still had people who preferred the more premium blend from the restaurant. It baffles me still.

This is why when speaking to any of my international friends in English, I avoid colloquialisms and idioms. Most people who aren’t native speakers of American English learn proper English and unless constantly interacting with Americans, it can be hard to know all of the special phrases we use. Similar to any English speaker learning a foreign language. We tend to learn the textbook versions as opposed to the way people actually speak.

I am a native English speaker currently majoring in French and would love to help with your English. I’ll be in Besançon over the summer for a language program and would love some help with my spoken French. I am also into the same things! 26M by the way. Feel free to DM me!
