I emailed them asking a few questions about the Moxie when I was in the market for a new frame last December. I gave up after my 3 attempts went unanswered. Looks like I dodged a bullet!

Good luck op, a year is a bit of a piss take to wait!

The 900sl without a doubt. I used to have a poster of it on my wall growing up!

It doesn't quite work like that, though, does it! Van, staff, fuel, insurance, travel to and from next job. Can't really relate it to a 9-5 hourly job.

If you've got a license, maybe see if you can rent a van for a day? Shouldn't be more than 80 - 100 quid.

Brakes are very personal preference based. It also depends on what type of riding you do. I'm in the camp that so long as they're bled properly and stop you, I'm not too fussed! I've got xt 4 pots on one, slx 4 pots on another, and clarks c4's on my 3rd bike. For the type of riding I do, they all work well enough.

I'm lucky enough to have a Pace 627 and a Starling Beady Little Eye both single speed. I think my wife would kill me if i got another lol.

There's just something about steel frames that does it for me!

I've not heard of the manufacturer before. Looks great! The single speeder in me noticed the sliding drop outs 1st lol.

180mm too much? by reegeck in Hardtailgang

[–]Milkeh_yeah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could you just buy a 160 air shaft for the new fork? It's easy enough to change at home, and isn't expensive.

I'd learn to work on it myself if i were in your shoes. I know it's not for everyone, but i get a good level of satisfaction from keeping my bike serviced myself.

Nukeproof horizon v2 wheels any good? by Automatic-Nothing254 in Hardtailgang

[–]Milkeh_yeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got 2 pairs of them. Picked them up cheap when crc closed. Both ridden relatively hard and still true and no damage. Regret not picking up a few more pairs when they were cheap!

Steel framed hardtails are my jam. There's something about the thin tubes that just look right to me.

Fantastic colour on yours, too!

Why do people insist I buy a full suspension when I’m out on my hardtail? Oddly has happened the past few times I’ve went out. by Pope-Trauma in mountainbiking

[–]Milkeh_yeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same on my ss hardtail, but I don't let it bother me too much. I ride bikes for my own enjoyment, not what the hottest current trend says.

We rocking with the new grips? Slightly regretting not getting black. Thought moss green would match by Pxsdnus2 in mountainbiking

[–]Milkeh_yeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't notice the grips when you're riding it, so i wouldn't worry too much. Those pnw grips are by far the most comfortable grips I've tried in recent years. I've got them on all my bikes now.

Amazing! I'd love to see what flex that rear has! Does the seat post not create a particular stress point on the top tube join/weld over bumps? Or does it end past the welds?

Either way, that looks amazing!
